Trust Registration

In India, anyone with the legal capacity to enter into a contract may establish a public charitable trust for a variety of objectives, such as the development of any good that will benefit the general public, relief from poverty, access to knowledge and welfare, etc. A public trust may or may not be registered.
A trust application needs to be submitted to the state official with trust registration jurisdiction in order to register a charitable trust. Details including the name of the trust, the trustees’ names, the succession plan, etc., must be included in the application for trust registration. A minimal Trust registration charge, which varies based on the Trust property and the State of registration, and a court fee stamp of Rs. 2 are required to be included with the application.

1. Covering letter for Trust registration to the Official having Jurisdiction
2. Application Form in Form – Schedule II – Duly Notarised
3. Court fee stamp of Rs.2 affixed to the application form
4. Certified copy of Trust deed
5. Consent letter of Trustees
