FSSAI

The Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) is a separate entity that reports to the Indian Ministry of Health and Welfare. The FSSAI Department was established by the FSSAI Act for both the purpose of granting licenses and regulating food-related businesses in India.

Documents Required


Petty food vendors are typically eligible for FSSAI registration, and the process is relatively straightforward. The following papers are necessary for FSSAI registration:

• Photograph of a food industry operator.
• Ration cards, voter identification cards, PAN cards, driving licenses, passports, Aadhar cards, senior citizen cards, and department-issued IDs are examples of documents that serve as identity proof.
• Additional Files (if any):
– NOC from the municipality or panchayat, NOC for health.
